Module 1
Leading Across Borders
A six-week journey from individual expertise towards confident, conviction-led leadership.
Develop the self-awareness, emotional agility, cross-cultural fluency and communication capability to lead and navigate uncertainty with confidence and sound judgement.

Programme overview
Leadership development for expanding responsibility
Over six weeks, you will discover what shapes you as a leader and strengthen the capabilities needed to lead others effectively. Through guided reflection and practical application, you will uncover the experiences, values, and strengths that shape your leadership. You will practise responding to challenge constructively and communicating with influence across differences, using peer and faculty feedback to identify what to develop and apply in your work.
You’ll leave with a clear personal leadership purpose statement, leadership-development goal and a practical eight-week roadmap to achieve it, reviewed by the faculty, turning reflection into deliberate action.
The cohort is deliberately limited to 12–15 participants. That creates the trust and continuity needed for reflection, discussion, practice and meaningful peer learning.
Completion
Participants who meet the approved attendance, participation and assignment requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion for Module 1: Leading Across Borders, issued by XBorder Leadership Academy.
Participants are expected to attend all six live sessions and participate fully. Exceptional absences, session recordings, light preparation for selected sessions and short post-session assignments are covered in full detail in the programme information provided following an enquiry.

This programme is designed for professionals who are beginning to lead others, expanding their influence or preparing for leadership across cultures, organisations and borders.
- Some initial leadership exposure
- Preparing for wider responsibility
- Working across cultures, functions or disciplines
- Willingness to participate and contribute
It is not designed primarily for experienced senior executives, people seeking technical instruction or applicants who are not ready to participate actively and contribute to the learning of others.
How to join
A considered process for a small cohort
Complete the short website form to receive further programme information, including application requirements and available financial support.
Submit the application and any required supporting documents. Applications will be reviewed by the XBorder admissions team.
Attend a short live information session, online or in person, to meet the team and ask questions.
Complete the required payment to confirm your place and receive your cohort schedule.
The process helps the facilitators build a diverse cohort whose members are ready to learn, participate and contribute to a respectful and confidential learning environment.
To support a diverse and balanced learning environment, the Academy may offer an applicant a place in a later cohort where this would strengthen the mix of professional backgrounds, sectors, regions and perspectives within each group.
